Why do you have this website instead of Facebook or Twitter?
The simple answer is that I do not trust them. Facebook is a business, and to view it as anything else is foolish. They have ownership of your photos, your comments, and your information. And they openly sell that information to others who use it to market to you at best, and we can only guess at the worst. So although I do have a Facebook account, I have stopped using it since I don't want my life to be owned by a private company.
Are you an engineer or a physicist?
My education is in engineering. That is what I am actually trained to do. But since I was a lad I have loved physics and mathematics - but for a young boy starting out in life those are better left as dreams and not career choices. So when I was older and had a little stability in my life, I studied graduate level mathematics and physics to fill the void of curiosity. I have been very lucky since then to have the opportunity to use both parts of my education in my career.
